2 rounds of the 2011 Easykart UK Championship were held over the weekend 8th 9th 10th July 2011, clashing with the British GP at Silverstone just 10 miles down the road!

Another 2 top 10 results with 6th on Saturday followed buy 5th on Sunday out of 42 drivers competing in the Senior HW class.
So 'Conset' Kart 168 Jim Rainbird remains in 4th place overall in the 2011 UK championship but with 2 drivers no.2 and no. 169 closing in.
No rain over either day meant fast racing at the Northamptonshire circuit, the turnout was yet another record event meaning that simply qualifying for the 'A' groups
in both senior classes was incredibly close on lap times .. Grid 3 to grid 11 after timed qualifying for Sundays race meeting was covered by just 0.2 of a second.

With the British Grand Prix just down the road many of the junior competitors wondered if they will be lining up against Hamilton and Vettel in 5 or 6 years time.
Turn back the clock 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 years and all the current F1 drivers would have been racing or testing their karts somewhere most summer Sundays.

Another great weekend for Easykart in the UK and it's many supporters.
