Somerset provided a dry cool weekend, around 42 drivers lined up for timed qualifying in the Light Weight class and Conset Kart was
having problems and qualified a lowly 33rd on 36.7 seconds, meaning for the first time ever it would not start in the 'A' group and was infact be back
on grid 7 in the 'B' group, yet a 36.5 lap time would have given a position well up the 'A' grid.
A complicated system of points now followed racing in the 'B' heat and pre-final in order to gain a place in the main 'A' Final, just 2 places being up for grabs.
The task looked difficult since several usuall front runners were in the 'B's including the current '2012 World Champion, no.133' amongst the 23 'B' drivers
starting the 'B pre-final' Conset kart lined up on grid 4 and no.133 was on grid 3, Conset Kart took the lead on lap one and stayed there until the flag, so
gaining a place at the back of the 'A' final.
Unfortunately there was to be no great charge through the 'A' grid in the final race, still struggling to find any good pace Conset kart finished 22nd.
So a stark contrast to 2012 when never out of the top 6.
